History and Uses:
Penta is native to the mountainous regions of China and other Asian countries. Medicinal use of Penta began during the Ming Dynasty, during which it was used for throat problems, edema and tumors. In the Orient, Penta is also called Xiancao, which means "Immortality Herb," due to its extensive healing powers. It is similar in properties to Korean (Panax) Ginseng, even though the two plants are unrelated. Recent research indicates that Penta shows promise in the areas of cholesterol regulation and in lowering blood pressure. Penta is also a powerful antioxidant and has adaptogenic properties. It is also thought to be beneficial for good digestion and nutrient absorption. Studies have indicated that Penta improves immune system function and may improve heart function, increasing strength and stamina. In China, Penta is often used as an anti-inflammatory, a detoxifier, a cough remedy and as a treatment for chronic bronchitis.

Recommended Dosage:
