Herbal Response - Botanical Support for Mononucleosis - is a botanical alternative medicine formulation which contains a blend of 10 all-natural herbal extracts for effective support in combating the effects of mononucleosis. Mononucleosis, also referred to as "mono" or the "kissing disease", is a glandular fever caused by the Epstein-Barr virus. The virus is generally passed through saliva, either from coughing, sharing of food or drink, or kissing (hence the nickname). Symptoms of mononucleosis may include fatigue, sore throat, fever, swollen lymph nodes, headache, rash, and loss of appetite. These symptoms can last up to eight weeks. The disease is also responsible for potentially serious swelling of the spleen. The herbal ingredients in this blended product include alteratives (herbs that generally alter an existing condition in the body by strengthening or stimulating various internal systems), anti-inflammatories (herbs that help reduce inflammation), immunotonics (herbs that stimulate and support immune system functions), and vulneraries (herbs that promote healing).

HERBAL INGREDIENTS: Proprietary blend of standardized herbal extracts of Astragalus Root (Astragalus membranaceus), Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale), Echinacea Angustifolia (Echinacea angustifolia), Echinacea Purpurea (Echinacea purpurea), Garlic (Allium sativum), Ginkgo Biloba (Ginkgo biloba), Goldenseal Root (Hydrastis cadensis), Maitake Mushroom (Grifola frondosa), Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum), and Pau D'Arco (Tanebuia altissima). Also contains Citrus Bioflavonoids and a multi-vitamin complex.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGE: Take two (2) capsules, three (3) times each day with a large glass of cold water at mealtimes.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: This product should not be used by children less than ten (10) years old.
