Herbal Solace - C - Botanical Support for PMS - Cramps - is a botanical alternative medicine formulation containing a blend of all-natural herbal extracts for effective relief of menstrual cramps associated with pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS).  For many women, menstrual pain comes in cramp-like spasms.  It could start in the lower abdomen and may radiate up the spine and down the legs, or it may center in your lower back.  If you get these symptoms severely, you may even feel dizzy or nauseous and perhaps get diarrhea and/or vomit.  What causes it?  Each month, the lining of the uterus (the endometrium) builds up in preparation for a possible pregnancy.  If a pregnancy occurs, the fertilized egg attaches itself to the lining to be nourished as it develops into a baby.  If the egg is not fertilized, the lining is not needed.  It breaks down, and hormones called prostaglandins  are then released.  These hormones can trigger the muscles of the uterus to contract and squeeze out the lining.  These muscles are the same ones that are used to push out a baby during childbirth, so they are very strong.  Some women may have higher levels of prostaglandins, and this is thought to be what causes painful muscle spasms.   Over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers are currently the most common remedy taken for body cramps, but over time they can contribute to possible liver damage and/or other serious health problems.  These potent OTC pharmaceuticals have also been know to exacerbate bloating, which may be mistaken for normal PMS-related water retention.  Herbal

Solace - C is an all-natural alternative to expensive, and often ineffective, mass-produced OTC pain relievers.
