About Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS) - Both cats and dogs, as they reach their golden years, may suffer from the ill effects of Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS). Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome is a deterioration of the brain (similar to Alzheimer’s in humans), caused by pathological changes of the chemicals within the brain. It is believed that a low level of dopamine (the brains neurotransmitter that links your pet’s thoughts and actions) is the cause of many of the symptoms seen in pets. Some of the symptoms may include one or more of the following - fatigue, aggression, restlessness, depression, confusion, excessive sleep, lack of interest for food or play, loss of bladder control, and difficulty in remembering basic daily functions. This formula is specifically blended to supply increased blood flow and oxygen to the brain, while providing needed support to the unbalanced chemicals of the brain that cause this condition.

PURPOSE OF FORMULATION:  Botanical support to help stabilize the deterioration of your pet’s cognitive functions.

FORM:  Bulk powder (110 grams, 415 grams, -or- 700 grams)

HERBAL INGREDIENTS:  Proprietary blend of astragalus root, bacopa monnieri, dong quai, fo-ti root, ginkgo biloba, gotu kola, horsetail, and korean ginseng. [Click Here for more information about these herbal ingredients]

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE:  Take the recommended daily dosage, shown below, for as long as symptoms persist, then lower the dosage amount by half (1/2) for as long as support is needed (5 scoops* would become 2 ½ scoops; 4 scoops would become 2 scoops; 3 scoops would become 1½  scoops; 2 scoops would become 1 scoop; 1 scoop would become ½ scoop;  etc.). Cats

Small (up to 10 lbs.):

One (1) level scoop*, two (2) times each day.

Medium & Large (11 lbs. or over):

Two (2) level scoops, two (2) times each day.
 

Dogs

 

Extra Small (under 10 lbs.):

One (1) level scoop, two (2) times each day.

Small (11 to 25 lbs.):

Two (2) level scoops, two (2) times each day.

Medium (26 to 50 lbs.):

Three (3) level scoops, two (2) times each day.

Large (51 to 100 lbs.):

Four (4) level scoops, two (2) times each day. 

X-Large (100 lbs. or over):

Five (5) level scoops, two (2) times each day.
   
* (The scoop supplied with this blend is 1/4 teaspoon level to the top).
