About Diarrhea - Diarrhea is the condition when your pet has three (3) or more uncontrolled evacuations of loose or watery stools within a 24-hour period.  Diarrhea could be the result of two (2) different situations: A) The colon or large intestine is producing excessive amounts of fluid, or B) The colon or large intestine does not absorb enough of the fluids passing through it.  There are many possible underlying causes of diarrhea, such as viral infections, food poisoning, gastrointestinal upset, dysentery, disease, emotional stress, Giardiasis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and Clostridium Difficile Colitis just to name a few.  NOTE: It is very important to keep your pet from becoming dehydrated, as severe dehydration may require hospitalization.

PURPOSE OF FORMULATION:  Botanical support for the relief of diarrhea and aids in cleansing the colon, intestines, and bowels.

FORM:  Bulk powder (85 grams, 325 grams, -or- 550 grams)

HERBAL INGREDIENTS:  Proprietary blend of agrimony, barberry root, bilberry leaf, bistort, fennel seed, goldenseal root, marshmallow root, plantain leaf, psyllium seed, sage, slippery elm bark, and stevia leaf. [Click Here for more information about these herbal ingredients]

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE:  Use the recommended dosage (shown below) for up to seven (7) days consecutively. On the eighth (8) day, if your pet still has diarrhea, discontinue use of this product and take your pet to your veterinarian. Discontinue use of this product when diarrhea stops. This product is for short-term use only. (NOTE: It is very important to keep your pet from becoming dehydrated, as severe dehydration may require hospitalization.). Cats

Small (up to 10 lbs.):

One (1) level scoop*, two (2) times each day.

Medium & Large (11 lbs. or over):

Two (2) level scoops, two (2) times each day.
 

Dogs

 

Extra Small (under 10 lbs.):

One (1) level scoop, two (2) times each day.

Small (11 to 25 lbs.):

Two (2) level scoops, two (2) times each day.

Medium (26 to 50 lbs.):

Three (3) level scoops, two (2) times each day.

Large (51 to 100 lbs.):

Four (4) level scoops, two (2) times each day. 

X-Large (100 lbs. or over):

Five (5) level scoops, two (2) times each day.
   
* (The scoop supplied with this blend is 1/4 teaspoon level to the top).

PRECAUTIONS:  This product is not recommended for pets that are pregnant or lactating.
